Serving our community

Our holistic approach to health and wellness is about more than the products we sell or the ideals we believe in—it’s about showing up for our community however we can.

Our Three Pillars of Community

We partner passionately with organizations inside and outside of the cannabis world to provide illuminating education, drive meaningful fundraising efforts and build awareness of cannabis’s power to heal. With these three pillars, we harness the power of plant-based medicine to create a better, healthier community.

1. EDUCATION

Safe, thoughtful cannabis use can offer health benefits for nearly everyone. We believe that education is the first step toward empowering people to take charge of their well-being with cannabis.

At San Rafael’s Dominican University, we hosted a discussion with a group of nursing students about the therapeutic uses of cannabis for older adults. These students work with the Sebastopol Area Senior Center, and we were proud to offer resources and insights to support the health and happiness of our local community.

We provide our team with extensive training not only on our partners and products, but also on the potential of cannabis to improve daily life and the history of this incredible plant. Our Health and Happiness Consultants are always available to share the depth and breadth of their knowledge with anyone who wants to learn more about cannabis.

2. FUNDRAISING

Our community is close to our heart. We especially treasure our relationships with local organizations who share our mission of fostering health and wellness in Northern California. Some examples of our diverse fundraising efforts include:
We partnered with the Ceres Project to provide nourishing meals to low income community members suffering from serious illnesses. With the help of our supply partners and our customers, despite having limited capacity due to the pandemic, we were able to raise $5,133 for the Ceres Project, which provided over 350 meals to our community.

3. AWARENESS

We pride ourselves on staying current on local and national cannabis affairs. That means getting our hands dirty at local farms, keeping up with the latest advancements at our partners’ production facilities and supporting our nonprofit partners to promote quality, build awareness and end the stigma around cannabis use. Together with our community, we host in-store gatherings, sponsor events and leverage the power of our favorite plant to build equity in the world of cannabis and beyond.
We invited the founders of Sol Spirit Farm, Walter and Judi, to our Sebastopol store to share their incredible depth of knowledge around regenerative farming and the cultivation of cannabis with our customers and team. Sol Spirit Farm is a small family farm located in Trinity County, CA, and Walter and Judi are passionate advocates of environmentalism, sustainability and self-sufficiency.

Partnering with small farms and businesses allows us to be mindful and engaged with our community. Beyond that, it gives us confidence in the products we carry and lets us pass those amazing experiences on to you.
